Unlocking potential and creating pathways into meaningful work: SCC x Generation UK  

On the 16th of October SCC colleagues proudly delivered an online training session for students from Generation UK, focused on IT, with a spotlight on field engineering.

From technical know-how to customer service excellence, the SCC team shared practical insights and career guidance to help young unemployed people take their next steps with confidence.

This impactful session was part of a partnership between The Rigby Foundation and Generation, supported by invaluable volunteering from SCC colleagues; The Foundation has pledged £600,000 over 3 years to support Generation to run skills bootcamps, helping individuals facing barriers to employment into life-changing careers that would otherwise be inaccessible.  Generation UK will train young people in sought after technical skills such as cloud and data engineering, cyber security, data analytics, green energy, sustainable construction and health and social care. It’s a powerful example of philanthropy in action, and an investment in skills, opportunity, and hope.
