Launching the Futures Readiness AI Reources Impact Report at Millennium Point
17 Apr 2026
In collaboration with the Sir Peter Rigby Charitable Trust, we were proud to support Alez Zarifeh at the official launch of the Futures Readiness AI Resources Programme Impact Report at Millennium Point, bringing together educators, partners and supporters to explore the programme’s national reach and the difference it is making for young people.
The new independent evaluation shows that the programme has already been delivered in 51 schools across England, reaching 45,824 learners from Year 3 to Year 13 and helping them understand AI, digital literacy and the future of work in an accessible, engaging way.
During the launch event, guests heard key insights from the report, including:
· Significant increases in students’ understanding of what AI can do, its risks and its limitations
· Strong improvements in critical digital literacy, with students becoming more reflective and cautious about online information
· 80% of teachers recommending the programme for its relevance, ease of use and impact in the classroom
· Clear evidence that Futures Readiness is filling a critical gap in AI and digital education across schools
We also explored the next steps for the programme, including enhancing age‑specific content, building more interactivity and expanding teacher support, ensuring even more young people can benefit from future‑focused, trustworthy AI education.
Sir Peter Rigby, who opened and closed the event, and whose charities supported the research remarked how vital the programme and the work achieved to date was, to ensure that children are "future ready" for the practical reality that will shape their choices, their careers and their lives. He commented that AI is developing at an extraordinary pace and that this tool gives young people essential opportunities to think critically about what AI can do, what it cannot do, and the significant implications it poses for us all; about trust, bias and fairness, privacy, creativity, security, and the changing nature of work. If we want young people to benefit from this technology, we must equip them to question it, use it responsibly, and shape it; rather than simply be shaped by it.
A huge thank‑you to Millennium Point for hosting, to our school and sector partners for their ongoing commitment, and to everyone contributing to the growth of Futures Readiness.
Together, we are helping ensure young people are not passive recipients of technological change, but informed, confident and future‑ready digital citizens.
